Rosa Rivera was born in Mexico and moved to the United States when she was thirteen years old. Rosa started her Banking career right after graduating from Del Rio High School, Del Rio, TX in 1983. She has lived in Garden City since 1988. Rosa has been involved in The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) which is a national scholarship organization and in 2010 she was named "Woman of the Year" for the Garden City Council. She has been a member of the Garden City Chamber Hispanic Professionals and was involved in a weekly Spanish television show called "Tres Comunidades" or "Three Communities" and a radio show called "Temes y Debates" or "Issues and Debates". She also conducted a banking educational program in Spanish on public radio. Rosa is currently employed at First National Bank of Syracuse in Garden City as Vice President and oversees the Consumer Lending Department and Teller Department.
