Betty Greer
Betty Greer is a lifelong resident of Western Kansas and a third-generation Kearny County community member who lives in Deerfield. She is a graduate of Deerfield High School, holds an associate degree from Garden City Community College, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and Leadership from Friends University. Betty retired after 33 years with Deerfield Schools, where she served in multiple roles, including CFO and superintendent’s secretary. Deeply committed to civic service, she has served on numerous local and state boards, volunteers at the Kearny County Historical Museum, and currently serves on the Patient, Resident, and Family Advisory Council of Kearny County Hospital. Her leadership and service have been recognized with honors, including the Kansas Hospital Association’s Trustee of the Year Award and the Dale Dennis Distinguished Service Award. Betty and her husband, Montie, live on their family farm north of Deerfield, and she enjoys genealogy, history, traveling, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
