When it comes to helping our corner of the world thrive, Western Kansas Community Foundation (WKCF) can help. We simplify giving and amplify impact, for individuals, nonprofits and communities--bringing a promising future to our region.
WKCF began in 1996 when a group of community leaders saw the potential of a local community foundation to enrich western Kansas life. Since that time, WKCF has expanded to cover 15 counties in southwest Kansas and experienced significant growth to now include assets of over $29 million and more than 200 funds.
Our ability to create impact comes from our local roots. Our work is governed and administered by a passionate staff and volunteer board, who love, live and work in this unique part of our state. This local connection means we see the needs of our region first hand, helping us connect programs and charities with donors who care. We provide a trustworthy and reputable place for donors to make promises to Western Kansas.
In addition to grants made from donor funds, the Foundation's pool of unrestricted funds provides grants to support local nonprofits and charitable organizations on a quarterly basis. The grants plant seeds for new growth and initiatives, nurture and develop projects already in place, or sustain things we love and value in Western Kansas.
Western Kansas Community Foundation has a place for everyone. Gifts great or small add up to leave their mark on our community. Whether you're able to make a one-time gift, or donate year after year, you will be valued and heard when working with us. We'd love to get to know you, and learn more about what you value in our community.
