Establishing a Fund with the Western Kansas Community Foundation is a simple process. Our staff is committed to helping Donors meet their charitable interests through the exploration of charitable giving vehicles, determining the appropriate fund type, or assisting with planned giving techniques through our Stewardship Counseling program.
We are pleased to offer current donors as well as prospective donors a wide range of information and services to assist them in pursuing their charitable goals. Many kinds of assets can be used to start a fund or contribute to an existing fund including cash, securities, real estate, and many other options.
A fund is a separate trust with its own donors and philanthropic purpose. The funds held by the Western Kansas Community Foundation are invested and managed by the WKCF’s Investment Committee and a professional investment manager. The Foundation’s Investment Committee and investment manager adhere to an Investment Policy that is regularly updated to account for current market situations and insure prudent investment of funds. Solid and responsible investment strategies assure donors of the security of their funds.
