Richard Monical, Dick, was raised in Cimarron, KS. After graduation from the University of Kansas with degrees in chemistry, Dick was drafted into the U.S. Army. After his service, he returned to KU, graduating from Pharmacy School in 1974. He immediately moved to Garden City and began work at Garden Pharmacy, located in Gibson’s, as a pharmacist. Dick closed the store in April 2017. Dick has previously served on the board of Russell Child Development Center and Sunrisers Kiwanis.
