Welcome Rebecca Colburn, Operations Director

WKCF is welcoming Rebecca Colburn as the new Operations Director.   Rebecca Colburn was born and raised in Dodge City, KS. She earned a BA in Integrated Marketing in Communication from Wichita State University and has served as Marketing Director with University Mall in Pensacola, Florida, and a Residence Inn by Marriott in Miami, Fl.  While in Jacksonville, Rebecca was one of the co-founders of the Young Professional Chamber, which has now been in successful for over 12 years. Rebecca is married to Richard Colburn and they have 4 children together: Madison, Isabella, Landon and Adilynn....

Our affiliate partners in Wichita County and Grant County are running their campaigns locally. Chairman's Perspective -- October 2017

Between 1999 and the end of 2014, the WKCF board successfully completed GROW I and GROW II, major fundraising initiatives sponsored by the Kansas Health Foundation.  The initiatives guided fundraising for a decade-and-a-half and resulted in significant growth in operations, technology and permanent endowment funds.  GROW I saw WKCF funds growing from $3M to more than $18M and GROW II brought an additional $2,600,000 for operations and permanent funds.  Now that the GROW I and GROW II initiatives are largely completed –  our affiliate organizations in Wichita County and Grant County hope to...

October and November Estate Planning Appointments Available

Western Kansas Community Foundation partners with John Griffin, JD of Stewardship Counseling, LLC, to provide estate planning design services free of charge. The draft plan can then be given to an attorney to formalize. Mr. Griffin will also review existing plans which can be beneficial especially when significant life changes have occurred.
