Empowered Women Empower Women Through Grants

The Garden City Women of Purpose are now accepting applications for their annual grant award. The group is soliciting proposals from qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, as well as other exempt groups and government entities, in western Kansas who serve communities within the 15-county radius covered by the Western Kansas Community Foundation.

The Women of Purpose Fund was established with the Western Kansas Community Foundation in 2008 by a group of founders and is supported by a membership base of individuals and businesses from across southwest Kansas. Their vision is to empower Southwest Kansas residents to take an active and powerful role in philanthropy to serve area women, young and old. This year’s grant award is funded by over 100 area Women of Purpose members. The Executive Committee has determined the focus of this year’s Request for Proposals (RFP) to be ‘Empowered Women Empower Women!’ This year's grant focus aims to address any and all causes relating to women's needs, including educational, financial, health, and employment to name a few. Applications must be submitted online by March 1, 2021. View the Women of Purpose 2021 application guidelines here
